Allen County Public Library
The Allen County Public Library has been part of the social and cultural fabric of Fort Wayne, Indiana and surrounding communities since 1895. Then known as the Fort Wayne Public Library, it served residents with 3606 volumes in a room in City Hall. Since then it has grown to consist of the main library in downtown Fort Wayne and thirteen branches in the city and outlying communities.

Eldridge Public Library
The Eldredge Public Library (EPL) was a gift to the people of Chatham from one of its natives, Marcellus Eldredge, who was a successful businessman and legislator in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, yet retained close ties to his home town. In 1894 he purchased land on Main Street for $1,000. Construction of the new library took a year and cost about $30,000.

Essex Society of Genealogists
Organized in 1975, as a chapter of the Massachusetts Society of Genealogists, we became an independent society in 1981. We are home based at the Local History and Genealogy Room of the Lynnfield Public Library. Our collection includes approximately 3000 volumes of genealogies and town histories. The collection also includes a complete run of the Massachusetts vital records in printed form and on microfiche, microfilm of Essex county census, early probate, and deed records, and many journals and genealogical periodicals. We also house some sources for other areas outside of Essex county, such as greater New England, New York, and Atlantic Canada.

Through its microfilm holdings, research services, public programs, and affiliation with twelve other regional archives and the National Archives in Washington, D. C., it is a national resource in a local setting.
