Allen County Public Library
The Allen County Public Library has been part of the social and cultural fabric of Fort Wayne, Indiana and surrounding communities since 1895. Then known as the Fort Wayne Public Library, it served residents with 3606 volumes in a room in City Hall. Since then it has grown to consist of the main library in downtown Fort Wayne and thirteen branches in the city and outlying communities.

Essex Society of Genealogists
Organized in 1975, as a chapter of the Massachusetts Society of Genealogists, we became an independent society in 1981. We are home based at the Local History and Genealogy Room of the Lynnfield Public Library. Our collection includes approximately 3000 volumes of genealogies and town histories. The collection also includes a complete run of the Massachusetts vital records in printed form and on microfiche, microfilm of Essex county census, early probate, and deed records, and many journals and genealogical periodicals. We also house some sources for other areas outside of Essex county, such as greater New England, New York, and Atlantic Canada.

Founded in 1892, AJHS is the oldest national ethnic historical organization in the nation. AJHS is one of five partner organizations at The Center for Jewish History in Manhattan and has a branch in Boston.

Godfrey Memorial Library
The Godfrey Memorial Library, incorporated in 1947, first opened its doors in May 1951. It was founded by A. Fremont Rider who was a well-known publisher, author, inventor, genealogist, and librarian. He was, for many years, librarian at Wesleyan's Olin Library. While in that position, he started putting together the idea for a monumental index that would help genealogists all over the world in their research. That was the beginning of the American Genealogical Biographical Index (AGBI) and the Godfrey Memorial Library.

Boston Public Library - Serials Receipts
Founded in 1848, by an act of the Great and General Court of Massachusetts, the Boston Public Library (BPL) was the first large free municipal library in the United States. The Boston Public Library's first building of its own was a former schoolhouse located on Mason Street that was opened to the public on March 20, 1854. The Library's collections approximated 16,000 volumes, and it was obvious from the day the doors were first opened that the quarters were inadequate. In December of that same year the Library's Commissioners were authorized to locate a new building upon a lot on Boylston Street.
