MGC Immediate Past President, Barbara J. Mathews, CG, has been appointed Co-Director of Civil Records today. Barbara will monitor proposed legislation on the Federal level while Co-Director Mary Ellen Grogan will continue to keep an eye on Massachusetts bills. The work Mary Ellen and Barbara does is critical to all genealogists and we owe them a debt of gratitude. My guess is that they would rather being researching family history!
